Have you been waiting for someday to become today? Have you figured out that someday never comes?

I know that you know that someday isn’t a day of the week. It’s not next month. And you know as well as I that it will fly right by you if you are not more intentional with your time, your choices, your decisions, and your actions.

Do you feel that? Or do you constantly find yourself waiting for the right time to feel like it or for permission?

We all have readily available excuses to quit and reasons to change or not to change.

But the truth is, the only reason we truly need to change is us. It’s deciding to ditch the blame, the guilt, and the fear that clings to us like those water stains we’ll never buff out of the coffee table.

It’s choosing to shed the regret, the anxiety, the emotional hangover that comes with every last drop of self-doubt, uncertainty, comparison, and all the times we’ve fought for our limitations rather than stepped into our power.

So, let’s stop waiting for Monday to begin our journey of change because we know all too well that Monday never comes.

What if, instead, we embraced the power of choice and chose right here, right now, to begin exactly where we are, coming just as we are, our perfectly imperfect selves?

What if today we chose more laughter, more sunrise coffee dates, and more belly-aching laughs?

What if we chose more self-forgiveness, self-love, and unapologetic “no’s” to things that steal our sunshine?

Today, I want to invite you to choose more compassion, more light, and more of the peace you deserve!

Because when you choose more, you choose yourself. And that is the most glorious and liberating celebration of all, and more importantly, You Are Worth It!!

Don’t wait for the perfect moment. Take the moment and make it perfect!

Begin your journey now!

About Mikki Proffitt
My mission in life is to create a space where women like you can share your stories from a place of truth, vulnerability, and safety. Where you can be raw and real, without masks or pretense. You can come as you are, feel seen, heard, held, and witnessed without judgment, and be surrounded by love. As a woman whose own healing journey through childhood trauma, abuse, and addiction I have spent over three decades in a career of service to others as an addictions counselor, trauma-informed breathwork, grief movement, and EFT Practioner. My deepest desire is that my work helps women end their suffering as they remember who they are, reclaim their power, and reignite their purpose.

Once a week, I write about something important on the journey of recovery, followed by a question for you to explore those deeper parts of yourself and your heart.

Don’t allow your mind to tell your heart what to do, it gives up easily.
